My favorite handbag

Renee's Petit Carre
This handbag is one of my first designs. The handbag is named for my friend, Renee, who lent a hand in the design process.  The name of the bag "Petit Carre" is French for small carrier.  It is knit in Cascade 220 Wool then felted. The front pocket is attached during the knitting process. The bag has a wonderful round bottom. It is big enough to carry a few items but not so big you feel like you are getting a work out!  It can be knit in 164 colors and the handle options are endless. The only seam work is sewing the handles in after the felting process.  What do you think of this design?

All things knitting

Hello All!
So at the urging of many friends I have finally started blogging. Let me introduce myself..... My name is Marti Bush but my fiber and knitting friends call me the Queen of Knitting.  I got this nick name because I have the ability to look at a pattern and re-write it in a simpler form. I am also called the yarn whisperer because I also have the ability to untangle just about any knotted mess......

This is the place where I will record my adventures in fiber, patterns and adventures with my knitting students. Please feel free to provide feedback and/or ask questions.

Look for lots of photos coming soon!
